The Motorcycle does not take up hardly any space on the road, is a cheap way to get from A to B and should be allowed Bus lane privileges.

Additionally, they should be exempt from congestion charges.

Why the contribution is important

It removes congestion and encourages fuel saving contributing to pollution control.

The bus lanes should be for busses, cycles and motorbikes.

Abolish bus lanes altogether and be done with it.

Bus lanes are for busses and public transport not for a vehicle that can transport less people than a car thus leading to more, less safe vehicles on the road.

This idea already works well in London so should be extended elsewhere.

It prevents motorcycles squeezing between lanes of cars which can be dangerous.

I'd go with this idea. Better the bike out of the way, than one which is weaving in/out traffic unpredicatably.

I've not rated this.

I've been driving for several years having started off on an L plated motorcycle. I've had my driving assessed at least 7 times since passing my driving test by 4 separate organisations.
I live in an area where they've allowed motorcycles to use bus lanes.

A few months ago when I was using a small van, with small van blindspots as part of my job i noticed somebody on one of these new sports scooters/mopeds making their way around a rounabout behind me, the rider had their foot out in a Valentino Rossi like fashion. At the next larger roundabout on the major route there's about 2-3 car lengths of bus lane before it disappears the bus lane ends and the road reverts to 2 normal lanes. This youngster undertook me on my nearside.

Motorcyclists need to start riding more sensibly I'm afraid.

A few weeks ago further along this road there's a set of traffic lights. I'm the 2nd vehicle back. In front of me is a huge high sided truck used to move rubbish to a landfill site 20 miles down the road. In the nearside lane there was an oil tanker. 2 kids arrive on L plated trials bikes waeving between the tow lanes. The one in front stops and turns to his mate behind and gesticulates that the truck in the OS lane is blocking his way. Then before the lights change he wobbles his way between the high sided rubbish truck and the oil tanker.

The kids should do everyone a favour and get their donor cards laminated to their crash helmets.

This road also has a cycle lane painted onto the opposite carriageway. One young motorcylcist using the cycle lane to undertake was taken out by a car turning left into a residentail driveway. He flew through the air until he came to rest upon hitting another stationary parked car.

We need more traffic police of the roads.

Motorcyclists need to behave responsibly.

scrap bus lanes, scrap 2+ lanes and scrap all other street pollution which favours one group of road users over another. If public transport was cheap, comfortable and reliable then maybe more people would use it.
